Science Week 2020

As #scienceweek2020 comes to an end, Citywise had a variety of physical and virtual events going on.

Art club started the week off right with an exciting virtual ‘Unwrapped’ workshop from Tallaght Community Council. During this workshop, the group investigated the transparency of various pieces of paper as they made some brilliant window art displays.

Each Junior Fast Track group took a different spin on Science Week. Activities ranged from science experiments under water, to trips to space and back. The group were truly reaching for the stars with these activities. They are now well equipped to take a last-minute trip to space thanks to the Crash Course to Space activity.

CS girls took part in a very competitive science quiz. While our Code Club dived into a scratch activity which proved how much water our members use in their home each week.

STEM Masters started development on a moon buggy using Microbit as a controller. This project is an ongoing design so we will be sure to post their finished product.

It really was GO GO GO this week in Citywise!!
